designer trunk show   Susan Dresner originated the concept of the Ways & Means Trunk Show as an alternative to the tyranny of fashion and generic retailing. The media, branded designers/manufacturers, and major chain stores hype what styles we are supposed to wear. The individual’s age, body, taste, and career dictates seem irrelevant.

Conversely, Susan wants to afford her clients REAL choices - clothes that both flatter and fit well. “It’s my job to scour alternative sources to the regular retail scene … craft fairs, small-designer collections, and little boutiques … to discover independents who truly care what they make and represent a range of styles and prices,” she says. “Our trunk show is an old-fashioned, empowering way to select clothes that are different, offer value, and feel right.”

Access to trunk shows is limited to Ways & Means clients. They are by appointment only, with no minimums to buy or entrance cost, and feature three to four designers showing their full lines … which might include work, play, and dressy clothes as well as outerwear and accessories … at each event. The Ways & Means trunk show is one-stop shopping at its best. It’s efficient, cost-effective, and fun. Clients may order from fit samples, sizes varying from Petite to Extra Extra Large, while some designs can even be customized to the individual. An incredible plus … Susan is always there to advise you (with no consultant’s fee charged).
